Alfride Prevost-Ricardo, APRN
Mr. Alfride Prevost-Ricardo is a full-time, Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Adult Outpatient Services. Mr. Prevost-Ricardo has extensive knowledge and proven experience in psychiatric and mental health nursing.
Prior to joining David Lawrence Centers, Mr. Prevost-Ricardo has worked as a clinician and psychiatric nurse practitioner in community health centers, private practice, and crisis stabilization settings.
Mr. Prevost-Ricardo has worked in psychiatric nursing since 2007. He earned an Associate Degree in Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts, in 2007 and 2009 respectively. He attained graduate studies at The University of Massachusetts Lowell and graduated from the Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program in 2011. He also received a master’s degree in Psychopharmacology in 2014 from the Neuroscience Education Institute.
Mr. Prevost-Ricardo is certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center, ANCC, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He is also a Buprenorphine Waivered provider by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, SAMHSA, for the treatment of substance use disorder.
Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese gives Mr. Prevost-Ricardo the ability to effectively communicate and treat patients with strong cultural competence. In addition, his commitment to individuals from all walks of life, and especially those with disadvantaged background is what drives his work.
