Wise and Paulson Join David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health Development Team
Naples, Fl – David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit behavioral health provider serving children, adults and families, has welcomed two new team members to the Development team who will help raise much-needed financial support for the increased demand for services, expansion efforts, and advancement of DLC’s mission.
Mathew Wise will serve as a Development Officer. In this role, Matt will be responsible for developing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new and prospective donors with a special focus on major, multi-year gifts.
Mathew has more than 30 years of experience in development, community outreach, and business management and consulting in a variety of business settings—including education, retail, and government. Prior to joining DLC, Mathew served as a Major Gift Officer for his alma mater Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania. Prior to that, he served as their Director of Development and Outreach as well as their Academic Success Advisor and Learning Differences Director.
Mathew earned his bachelor of science in social science from Edinboro University and his master of science in special education from Mercyhurst University, both in Pennsylvania.
Jury Paulson will serve as the Associate Director of Development. In this capacity, he will manage and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors. Jury will work collaboratively with the Director of Development to develop and implement fundraising strategies that enhance financial support and business community strategic partnerships, such as DLC’s new workplace mental health awareness program.
Jury has more than seven years of experience in community engagement, development, volunteer management, grants solicitation, and government relations in the private and public sections. Prior to joining DLC, he served as the Community Engagements Manager at Boys and Girls Club of Collier County and Volunteer Services and Grants Manager for Habitat for Humanity of Collier County.
Jury graduated cum laude with his bachelor of science degree in international affairs and political science from Florida State University. He went on to earn his master of public policy degree from the University of Erfurt in Germany. He is currently in the process of completing his master of legal studies from Washington University and is an Officer Candidate in the Florida Army National Guard. He is also Certified in Volunteer Administration through the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration.
Jury’s community involvement includes currently serving as a board member for the Housing Development Corporation of Southwest Florida and the Young Professionals of Naples. He is a graduate of the 2018 Associate Leadership Collier class, where he served as a member of the social planning committee. He is also an active member of Gulf Coast Runners.
