Teen Dextromethorphan Abuse: New Florida Law Passed
Did you know a new law has passed in Florida that prohibits the sale of over-the-counter cough medicine to underage teens?
Cough medicine is a type of medication that is typically used to suppress/soothe cold symptoms. Cough medicine is easily accessible in a wide variety of Florida stores and pharmacies. And, because of how easily accessible OTC cough medicine is, teenagers and young adults have now started abusing OTC cough medicine to get high.
With the new Florida law in place, children and young adults under the age of 18 will be banned from purchasing OTC cough medicine that contains dextromethorphan (DXM).
