David Lawrence Centers Named Family Friendly Workplace for the Sixteenth Consecutive Year
Naples, Fl – David Lawrence Centers, Collier County’s only comprehensive, not-for-profit mental health and addiction recovery treatment center serving children, adults and families, is pleased to announce that the Center has once again earned the Family Friendly Workplace certification by Collier Child Care Resources (CCCR). David Lawrence Centers has received this honor for the last 16 years.
Family Friendly Business Awards acknowledge those employers who have workplace policies and programs that assist employees and their families. For the past 18 years, the event has been conducted by the Naples Alliance For Children (NAFC) and is now directed by CCCR. This year, 43 Collier County businesses were honored at the annual celebration dinner held in November.
CCCR Executive Director Niccole Howard, said, “The purpose of the event is to shine the spotlight on those companies that recognize the importance of balancing work and home life. Many companies today desire a win-win situation in which they help people generate their best work, attract and retain top talent, while allowing employees greater flexibility and support.”
Scott Burgess, David Lawrence Centers Chief Executive Officer, states, “We are honored to once again be named a Family Friendly Workplace. With over 300 employees, we understand the impact having a Family Friendly Workplace can have on attracting and retaining the best employees, increasing productivity and morale as well as reducing turnover, absenteeism, tardiness and stress-related health costs. Our family policies and benefits are designed to create a work environment that meets the expanding and challenging role of the working parent.”
About the Family Friendly Business Awards
The Family Friendly Business Initiative was an awards program launched by the Naples Alliance for Children (NAFC). The NAFC mission was to plug gaps in services to children and to provide networking opportunities and educational programs to improve the well-being of local children. The organization was dissolved after 30 years of advocacy for the children in the community. Collier Child Care Resources is honored to carry on NAFC’s legacy in honoring those businesses that support family friendly business practices. Collier CCCR is a private, non-profit agency whose main focus surrounds the education of young children, birth to five years, and provides professional development services to teachers in the early childhood community that serves children, families and early learning professionals.
